We’re looking for a full-time developer to join our team. We make web sites and applications for SMEs, for example SevenHolidays, TG Residential and Checkatrade. We’re based in Histon, Cambridge, and are offering £30–£35k based on experience.

We’re a small team (6 currently) of talented people enthusiastic about our work. We have a fast-moving unbureaucratic approach and give our clients far more than just a web site: they get support, content strategy, business advice and marketing rolled in there too.

So you don’t get a free iPad. But as part of a small, ambitious team, you get to show off your skills and craft your own role. You get to shape and build Endis Solutions into something awesome from (almost) the start.

About you

We’re looking for a developer who can handle the front end of web development as well as the lower levels of the MS development stack – or be a ninja at just one.

You must be enthusiastic and be nice to our clients. We’re ambitious, so you need some vision and the ability to exceed expectations. Personal drive and motivation are musts, as are honesty, flexibility, self-belief, integrity and inner beauty (or a sense of humour to compensate).

Have you got most of these?

• ASP.NET 3.5 (VB and C#)
• At least 2 years’ full-time professional experience in front-end web development, i.e. handcoding in HTML and CSS, using JavaScript and jQuery. (If you’re fresh out of academia or making a career change then show us a longer part-time history of coding for the love of it).
• The nous to create web sites that look/play nice for real people, not geeks
• A creative spark, innovation, staying on top of latest trends
• Ability to use, administrate and develop on MS SQL Server (2000 or above)
• Familiarity with looking after MS servers (Windows 2008, IIS 7)
• Speed – running things fast (SQL performance tuning and strategic code improvements) and right (test plans, ways of helping us write better code)
• Excitement about LINQ and ASP.NET MVC architecture – so you can teach us
• Professional development skills, such as using source control, bug triage, project management, written presentation, customer interaction

And all of these?

• Degree-level education
• Relevant work experience
• Local to the Cambridge area, and happy to travel sometimes
• Legal to work in the UK
